WALTHAM, Mass. – January 1, 2020 – Stephen Medeiros, an associate broker at Keller Williams Realty in Dartmouth, was installed on December 17, 2019 as president-elect of the 25,000-member Massachusetts Association of Realtors® (MAR) for 2020. The event took place at The Devens Common Center in Devens, Mass., and included the installation of the MAR Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Medeiros’ term officially begins on January 1, 2020.
As president-elect, Medeiros will participate at all levels of the Association’s decision-making process, represent the Association at meetings and business functions, and serve as a spokesperson for the Association on real estate industry-related matters. He will perform the duties of the Association’s President in his absence. Medeiros will continue to serve as a member of the MAR Executive Committee and Board of Directors as a result of this election.
Prior to his election, Medeiros served as the 2018-2019 Southeastern Regional Representative. Medeiros has been a member of the MAR Board of Directors and Government Affairs Committee since 2015. In 2017, he served as the chairperson for the MAR Government Affairs Committee. In addition to the Board of Directors and Government Affairs Committee, he also served on the Executive, Finance, and Leadership Development Committees in 2019.
On the local level, Medeiros was the 2017 president of the Realtor® Association of Southeastern Massachusetts. He was named Realtor® of the Year by his local association in 2014 and again in 2017.
On the national level, Medeiros served as the vice chair of the Medium Board Forum and as a member of the Local Leadership Idea Exchange Council in 2018. In 2019, he was a member of the Medium board forum and the forum chair of the Local Leadership Idea Exchange Council. In 2020 he will serve as a member of the Meeting and Conference Committee.
A Realtor® since 2004, Medeiros has earned his Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), e-PRO® (a technology certification provided by the National Association of Realtors®) and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designations.
