Massachusetts REALTOR® of the Year Award 

The Massachusetts REALTOR® of the Year is selected annually from among the nominees of the 16 local associations of REALTORS® and nearly 19,000 REALTORS® in Massachusetts.  It is the association's highest honor and recognizes members for their civic, business and industry-related activities and achievements in the 12 months prior to award's presentation.

The award criteria upon which nominees are judged include service to the local community, business accomplishments, and service to the REALTOR® organization on the local, state and national levels.  The state REALTOR® of the Year is chosen by a selection committee which consists of the past three recipients of the award, the association's immediate past president (who shall serve as chairperson), and the immediate past president once removed.

Berkshire County Board of REALTORS®

Barbara Osborne, GRI, ABR, GREEN
Ashmere Realty Inc, Hinsdale

Barbara Osborne is the Immediate Past President of the Berkshire County Board of REALTORS® and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2008. Osborn was on the MLS Board of Directors in 2013 and is the Chair of the Nominating Committee. She also served on the Professional Standards Committee, Finance Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Investment Committee and on the REALTOR® Community Service Committee. On the state level, Osborn is on the MAR Board of Directors.

 

 

Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS®
Debra Martin

ERA Cape Realty, South Yarmouth
Debra Martin is the President and Secretary/Treasurer for the Cape Cod & Island Association of REALTORS® MLS. Martin served on the Bylaws Committee and initiated the successful revision of the CCIAOR MLS as well as the Volunteer Policy Manual Committee, which produced the first manual for the Association. She is also a member of the Finance Committee and Employee Policy Manual Committee. On the state level, Martin is a member of the Board of Directors and serves on the Communications Committee.


Eastern Middlesex Association of REALTORS®
Melody Roloff,  LMC, SRES, LTG, CBR, PMN, BPOR

Exit Realty Beatrice Associates, Middleton

Melody Roloff is the current Vice President of the Eastern Middlesex Association of REALTORS® and is the Chair of the Grievance Committee. She served as the Secretary/Clerk and the Constitution and Bylaws Committee Chair in 2013. Roloff is also past Co-Chair of the REALTOR® Community Service Committee, which raised over $10,000 to benefit the Veterans and. Since 1995, Roloff has been a member of the Northern Region Chapter Women’s Council of REALTORS® and is a former President. On the state level, Roloff serves on the Conference Committee, Professional Standards Committee, and is a MAR Director.




Greater Boston Association of REALTORS®
Andrew Sarno, CBR, CRS,GRI,LMC,SRES

RE/MAX Andrew Realty Services
Andrew Sarno is the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS® Treasurer and is the Chair of the Professional Standards Committee. He also serves on the Executive Committee, Member Benefits Committee, Finance Committee, and the Board of Directors. On the state level, Sarno is on the Board of Directors, Chairman of  the Technology Committee and serves as a member on the Membership Benefits Committee of which he is immediate past chairman, Grievance Committee, Mediation Committee, Professional Standards Committee and Recruitment/Retention Subcommittee. Sarno also is a Certified Mediator.
 
 

Greater Fall River Association of REALTORS®
Muhammad Mushtaq
S. B & A Realty Group Inc., Fall River
Muhammad Mushtaq is the President of the Greater Fall River Association of REALTORS®. He is the Co-Chair for the Personal Committee, Affiliates Committee, and the Website Committee. He also serves on the Government Affairs Committee and Membership Committee. Mushtaq developed and maintained the Associations website and worked with affiliate members to promote educational programs to members.  On the state level, Mushtaq has been a member of the Board of Directors for two years. Nationally, he has attended the NAR Jurisdictional Boundaries meeting. 



 

Greater New Bedford Association of REALTORS®
Steve Medeiros, ABR, SRES, e-PRO
Pelletier Realty, New Bedford

Steve Medeiros is on the Greater New Bedford Association of REALTOR®'s Board of Directors. He also is a member of the Government Affairs Committee, Grievance Committee, Professional Standards Committee, Technology Task Force, and Social Media Subcommittee. On the state level, Medeiros has attended the REALTOR® Day on Beacon Hill. He is also the President of the Business Networking International (BNI) South Coast Chapter and a BNI official trainer.

 

 

Northeast Association of REALTORS®
Christopher Doherty, GRI, SRES

Christopher Doherty is the Immediate Past President of the Northeast Association of REALTORS®. He served as Ex Officio on all the NEAR Committees in 2013 and currently serves on the Board of Directors, Professional Standards Tribunal, Executive Committee, and Finance Committee. On the state level, Doherty is on the Board of Directors, Finance Committee and Broker Engagement Task Force. On the national level, Doherty has attended the NAR mid-year meetings in Washington, DC.

 

 

North Bristol County Association of REALTORS®
James Kinahan JR

Jim Kinahan is the President of the North Bristol County Association of REALTORS®. Kinahan was also on the Board of Directors and was a First Vice President. Kinahan has presented several CE certified classes for the Board and serves on the Professional Development Committee, Government Affairs Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, and REALTOR® Community Service Committees. On the state level, Kinahan is on the Board of Directors and the Government Affairs Committee. On the national level, he has attended several NAR Conventions.

Thomas Ruble

Thomas Ruble is the President of the North Central Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® and Chair of the Board of Directors. Ruble is also the President of the Charitable Foundation and serves on the Executive Committee, Government Affairs Committee, Finance Committee, and Professional Standards Committee. On the state level, Ruble serves on the Board of Directors, Government Affairs Committee, and Forms Committee. He has attended the NAR Convention and Midyear Conference.  
 

 

North Shore Association of REALTORS®
Amy Wallick

Amy Wallick is the President of the North Shore Association of REALTORS® and the Immediate Past President of the Board of Directors. She also serves as a member on the Finance Committee and is the Chair of the Nomination Committee. Wallick is on the Orientation Committee and also serves as an instructor. Wallick is on the MAR Board of Directors, YPN Committee, Technology Committee.  On the national level, Wallick was an active participant of the insight panel for REachTM ,the National Association of REALTORS® technology accelerator designed to introduce innovative technology companies to the real estate industry.

Marcia Solberg is the President of the South Shore Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®. She was also on their Board of Directors in 2013, which was the founding year of the Chapter. She served on the 2014 Plymouth and Shore Association of REALTORS® (PASS) Search Committee for a new CEO and has been a member of the Finance Committee, Education Committee and Bylaws Committee. On the state level, Solberg is a member of the Board of Directors, Professional Development Committee, Forms Advisory Committee, Bylaws Committee, and Member Benefits Committee.

Dawn Henry is the President-elect of the REALTOR® Association of Pioneer Valley and serves on the Board of Directors. She is the Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and is a member of the Education Fair & Expo Committee, Finance Committee, Centennial President’s Advisory Group, and President’s Award Advisory Group. She was also the Association Treasurer in 2013. Henry is a current member of the MAR Convention Committee and has attended meetings and events on both the state and national levels. On the national level, she has attended the NAR Convention and the Leadership Summit.

Scott Simpson

Scott Simpson is the President of the REALTORS® Commercial Alliance of Massachusetts. He is a member of the Finance Committee and the Bylaw Review Committee. On the state level, Simpson serves on the MAR Board of Directors and the Government Affairs Committee. Simpson was also on the Habitat for Humanity Site Selection Committee for three years and on the Leominster Zoning Board of Appeals. He is now the President of the area's Business Network International.
