Q. Must I take each course all at once, or can I complete several minutes and then come back to it later? 
A. 
You can stop a course when you need to and return later. The course will appear in your list of purchased courses in your Learner Home and the system will remember where you left off.

Q. How do I find my NRDS number?
A. 
If you are an active member of any REALTOR® Association in Massachusetts you can find your NRDS number either on your REALTOR magazine label, by looking it up online, or by contacting your Local REALTOR® Association or the MA Association of REALTORS®. Non-members do NOT have a NRDS number, so just continue to register as a non-member and pay the appropriate fee.

Q. What happens if I experience technical problems while taking the course?

Click on the “Help” button in the upper right corner of the course pages and you can contact a Learning Library representative for assistance.

Q. How much do courses cost?
A.
 If you are an active member of the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® and our Local Associations, members can take our MAR Online CE courses at no charge. Non-members may take the courses for a fee charged by the Local Association where you entered the platform. The MAR Online Education Platform also provides designation, certification and professional development courses. These are all charged a fee set by the organization that created them.

Q. Why do you need my License Number and email address?
A. 
Your name and License Number must appear on your CE course completion certificate. The Online Education Platform, powered by Learning Library, uses email address to identify students.

Q. How do I find out which courses I've taken?
A. 
The Online Education Platform will automatically keep track of the courses you've purchased, completed or are currently taking. Just visit the Learner Reports section of yourLearner Home Page to see a summary of completed courses.

Q. How does the system ensure that the student is taking the course themselves?
A.
 Before taking a course a student must click a confirmation box, under penalty of perjury, that he/she is the person they say they are and they alone will complete the course. This is no different from persons pretending to be others at live courses.

Q. How does the system ensure that a non-member doesn’t use someone else’s NRDS number to access a course for free? 
A. 
Course completion certificate and online record will reflect the person who actually has the NRDS number, so the illegal non-member will get NO credit for completing the course.

Q. Why wasn’t I able to enter my name on the sign-in form?
A. 
Members of the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® entering their NRDS number will automatically fill-in the name associated with that NRDS number. Only non-members must add their own name. All students must add their license number and email address.

Q. How long will the course take and how does the system ensure that I take the full two-hours? 
A. 
The system has an internal timer which prevents you from going too fast and will not allow you to complete the course in a time shorter than the required 2 hours. When the timer for a slide reaches zero you are allowed to advance to the next slide. You can see the timer in the lower-left corner of all CE courses.

Q. Is there a test?
A. 
There are quizzes throughout the course to help ensure that you are learning the material; however, you will be allowed to continue the course if you do not get the answer correct. The results of these quizzes do not affect your CE credit but they will be used to adjust the course material if a particular question is often missed.

Q. Will I need to download any special software to take this course?
A. 
This course is internet-based, so you only need a browser and high-speed Internet connection. You can also view a complete list of technical requirements.

Q. Whom do I call if I have a question? 
A. 
If you’re having trouble accessing the course from your Association’s website please contact the MA Association of REALTORS®.  If you have technical trouble while taking a course look for the Help button on the course pages or contact Learning Library customer support. If you have a question or comment about any of the course content you can access the Forum associated with each course or use the “Submit a Question” option at the end of the course to write us.

Q. How do I update my information?
A. 
To update your information simply visit the Learner Profile section of your Learner Home.

Q. How is my personal information used? I see web banners in some courses. Are you selling my information?
A. 
We do not rent or sell information you provide through the Online Education Center to any third party, period. For a full explanation, please refer to our privacy policy.

Q. When I type in my NRDS number my name is not correct. How do I correct this? 
A. 
The information found in the NRDS membership database is updated and maintained by your Local REALTOR® Association. You can identify and contact your local association here.
