Mattapoisset Broker Named 2018 Massachusetts Realtor® of the Year

by Eric Berman - eberman@marealtor.com - 781-839-5507 | Oct 15, 2018

WALTHAM, Mass.
– October 12, 2018 – The Massachusetts Association of Realtors® (MAR) announced recently that Kate Lanagan MacGregor, broker/owner of Bold Moves Real Estate in Mattapoisett, is the 2018 Massachusetts Realtor® of the Year. Lanagan MacGregor was presented the award at MAR’s Professional Awards Reception, which was held in September at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center

The state’s Realtor® of the Year is selected annually from among the nominees of the 13 local associations of Realtors® and more than 24,000 Realtors® in Massachusetts. Judging for the award is based on service to the local community, business accomplishments, and service to the Realtors® organization on the local, state and national levels.

“Kate Lanagan MacGregor is a fixture of the Massachusetts Realtor® community and is known for her enthusiasm, positive spirit and dedication,” said 2018 MAR President Rita Coffey, general manager of CENTURY 21 Tullish & Clancy in Weymouth. “A true advocate for homeownership, she is involved in nearly every facet of this organization, providing her time and expertise regarding education, communications and government affairs. On top of running her own business and training the next generation of Realtors® as a licensed educator, it’s hard to imagine how she finds time in the day.”

A Realtor® since 2002, Lanagan MacGregor is the 2018 President of the Realtor® Association of Southeastern Massachusetts. In the past, she has also served as treasurer and chair of the Finance Committee; and has been a member of the Government Affairs, Membership, Professional Development, and the Realtor® Political Action Committees.

On the state level, Lanagan MacGregor has been an MAR Director since 2012, and is currently a member of the Finance Committee, Education Committee, Professional Standards Committee and the Realtors® Independent Expenditure Political Action Committee. She has also served on and chaired many committees and task forces in the past. Lanagan MacGregor is a 2010 graduate of the MAR Leadership Academy and was one of its deans in 2016.

At the national level, Lanagan MacGregor is a member of the NAR Consumer Communications Committee and served four consecutive terms on the NAR Data Strategies Committee.

Lanagan MacGregor is an RPAC Major Investor and has earned the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and E-Pro® professional real estate designations as well as her Loss Mitigation Certification (LMC).
