The Instructor Training Institute Program
This three-day program designed to prepare instructors of real estate education to develop course content, organize course layout and instructional methods and deliver courses effectively to maximize adult learning.
Schedule
February 5, Day One: 8:00am - 5:30pm (homework assignment – 1-2 hours additional)
February 6, Day Two: 8:30am – 7:00pm (homework assignment – 2-3 hours additional)
February 7, Day Three: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Day One - Part I – Course Development
Learning Objectives
Upon completion participants will be able to:
Create, develop and write specific and general learning objectives.
Describe, identify and utilize four basic learning styles.
Select, develop, organize and outline content to meet stated objectives.
Design and develop specific participatory activities that support each learning style.
Create and develop appropriate visual aids that assist in delivery of the content and participatory activities.
Develop a profitable, objective-driven course model.

Prepare one ten-minute, non-real estate related presentation using the course development techniques learned in Day One.
Day Two - Part II - Instructor Development

Prepare and provide effective instructor evaluations giving specific suggestions for improvement.

Homework
Prepare two ten-minute presentations using the techniques learned in Days One and Two. The first will be delivered on the morning of Day Three and should be on a non-real estate related topic. The second, to be delivered on the afternoon of Day Three, should be on a real estate topic or other subject in your area of expertise.
Day Three - Part II - Instructor Development and Wrap-Up
Learning Objectives
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
Demonstrate effective classroom management and questioning techniques.
Show how to effectively incorporate technology tools into the learning experience.
Creatively and effectively present a real estate training course.
Demonstrate the effective use of audio-visual equipment.
