Today social technologies are helping brands form a foundation for customer for life through new media channels that most traditional marketing campaigns are missing. The advent of the internet has altered how a consumer engages with a brand, forcing brands to reinvent how they communicate and fulfill a brand promise. Traditional forms of marketing just are not up to the task due to the fact that most companies are utilizing outdated brand management models and depend on a now outdated organizational structure and skill set.
Social Fusion is an approach to marketing that fundamentally connects brands and their consumers in fundamentally new ways of marketing. Understanding the consumer’s needs for information, interaction with the brand and building an ongoing relationship with the brand is vital for any company to survive. Consumers rely heavily on digital interactions; they evaluate a shifting array of options and remain engaged with the brand through social media after the purchase. Meeting the unique needs of the consumer before and after the purchase create the foundation for any company or organization to thrive into the future.
