Note: This is a TWO-Day Course. GRI courses can be taken in an order.

 
Day One:
After this day Realtors® are able to differentiate between types of homes—from medieval to modern. Students learn the basics of historic preservation rules and guidelines. Day one also covers the residential property valuation process, appraisal reports and condos, coops and timeshares.

Day Two:
This section introduces the basic elements of residential construction to assist landowners, builders and developers through the subdivision approval process. This course teaches the tools to better assist the consumer in remodeling vs. changing residency.

The Zoning & Building Codes and Smart Growth section covers the procedures and requirements defined by zoning and building codes and the trend of land development that emphasizes the mixing of land uses and increases the availability of a range of housing types in neighborhoods.
