MEMBER PUBLICATIONS

As a member of the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® you receive a variety of news periodicals which will assist you in conducting real estate business. If it’s timely information on legal interpretations, regulatory requirements, a new financing program or the latest industry trends you seek, the association’s news publications, Bay State REALTOR® magazine and REALTOR® Digest, will put you in the know. MAR also provides you with industry analysis and statistical data on the single- and multifamily housing markets in its quarterly report, Massachusetts Market Capsule. Collectively, these publications contain a wealth of information for brokers and sales associates, and each is provided free with your state association membership.

Bay State REALTOR®
As MAR’s primary member publication, a subscription to this bi-monthly magazine is included with your membership. Each issue contains articles that will help you limit your legal liability, improve your sales and marketing skills, and keep you informed of public policy issues affecting property owners and real estate practitioners. In addition, you’ll frequently find stories on new business technology, mortgage lending programs, and personal financial planning. Bay State REALTOR® is mailed to your home address (unless otherwise requested) in January, March, May, July, September and November.

REALTOR® Digest
This bi-weekly, electronic newsletter is distributed free via e-mail to every member who requests its receipt. In each edition of the Digest, you’ll find five standard news columns — a Legislative/Regulatory Update, Legal Notes, Financial Points and Programs, Market Capsule, MAR Customer Service Corner — as well as a top story and calendar of upcoming education programs being offered around the state. Electronic distribution of this publication takes place every other Monday, and is also available online through our web site, www.marealtor.com. Massachusetts Housing Reports
MAR issues quarterly housing reports which monitor activity in the state’s detached single-family home and condominium markets, and bi-annual reports on the multifamily housing market. Each report contains commentary on current market conditions, analysis of major market trends, and year-to-year sales, price and inventory data for the state and regional markets across Massachusetts. MAR’s quarterly housing reports are summarized in Bay State REALTOR® magazine, and are available in their entirety on the MAR's web site, marealtor.com.

Notably, MAR, in conjunction with the National Association of REALTORS®, also produces an annual survey of homebuyers and sellers which details consumers’ habits and motivations, and the economic and market factors affecting the home search and sale processes.
