| Both Indexes hit the 60-point mark
WALTHAM, Mass. – June 19, 2012 – The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) today announced that for the second straight month both the REALTOR® Market Index (RMI) and the REALTOR® Price Index (RPI) hit all-time highs in May. Despite the upbeat mood of REALTORS® across the state, 47% of those responding to the survey feel their clients are having a more difficult time securing financing than the year before.

| Homes under agreement climb past the 5,000 homes mark
WALTHAM, Mass. – June 12, 2012 – The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) reported today that the number of single-family homes put under agreement in May went up again for the 13th straight month compared to the same time in 2011. Condominium pending sales were also up from the same time last year for the 13th straight month. Pending figures are a leading indicator of actual housing sales in Massachusetts for the following 2-3 months.

WALTHAM, Mass. – May 22, 2012 – The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) reported today that median home prices were up in April for the first time since September 2011. Single-family home sales increased again compared to the same time last year for the tenth straight month. Condominium sales were also up from April 2012. Condominium median prices rose for the second straight month.

three-straight months
WALTHAM, Mass. – May 15, 2012 – The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) today announced that increased activity over the past several months has pushed both the REALTOR® Market Index (RMI) and the REALTOR® Price Index (RPI) to all-time highs in April. The majority of REALTORS® who responded to the survey reported that low appraisals are not having an impact on transactions that have competitive or multiple bid offers. |
