WALTHAM, Mass. – January 1, 2013 – Joan Witter, a broker at Sotheby’s International Realty in Osterville, has been elected Cape Cod & Islands Region vice president of the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) for 2013.
As vice president for the Cape Cod & Islands region, Witter will coordinate association objectives and activities within the Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS® (CCIAOR), and meet regularly with local and regional leadership to discuss real estate industry issues of statewide importance. She automatically becomes a member of the MAR Executive Committee and Board of Directors as a result of his election as regional vice president.
At the state level, Witter has been a member of the MAR Board of Directors since 2007 and has been a member of the Professional Standards Committee.
On the local level, Witter is the Immediate Past President of the Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS® and is a member of its Board of Directors, Executive Committee, MLS Board of Directors and Policy Task Force.
A REALTOR® since 1994, Witter has earned her Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) professional real estate designations.
