WALTHAM, Mass. – April 28, 2008 - The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) reported today that both single-family home sales and condominium sales were down in March compared to the same time last year.

WALTHAM, Mass. – March 25, 2008 - The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) reported today that both single-family home sales and condominium sales were down in February compared to the same time last year. This repeats the sales pace reported last month. The number of single-family homes sold in February was down 22.9 percent with median sales prices down 4.6 percent. The number of condominiums sold in February was down 34.6 percent, with median sales prices down 6.7 percent.

January Home Sales Continue to Decline after Difficult Fourth Quarter

Condominium median sales prices continue to go up WALTHAM, Mass. – February 26, 2008 - The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) reported that the number of single-family homes sold in January were down 28 percent compared to the same time last year. Single-family home median selling prices were also down 5.6 percent. The number of condominiums sold in December was down 34 percent from last year, while median sales prices were up 3.5 percent.

Use of Internet and Social Networking Sites on the Rise by Home Buyers and Sellers According to Recent REALTOR® Study

Eighty-seven percent of home buyers worked with a real estate professional Waltham, Mass. – February 12, 2008 – A new study on Massachusetts home buyers and sellers shows that the Internet continues to be one of the most important tools in the home buying process with 90 percent of buyers and 94 percent of sellers, reporting that they either searched or listed their homes on the Internet. The 2007 Massachusetts Profile of Home Buyers & Sellers, compiled by the National Association of Realtors® (NAR), also found that 34 percent of home buyers surveyed (and half of home buyers aged 18-24) reported using social networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Friendster.
