Postini, MAR is proud to announce Perimeter Manager™.
Perimeter Manager™ provides customers the only integrated email security solution that blocks spam, viruses and other email-borne threats before they reach your email system. Perimeter Manager™ also provides a comprehensive set of tools to secure email connections and regulate email delivery. By keeping volumes of junk email off of your network, we help you free up network resources and contain costs — and increase employee productivity and profits.
The

In addition to award winning anti-spam and anti-virus technology, Perimeter Manager™ is the only email security and management solution that defends against Directory Harvest Attacks — an aggressive technique that spammers use to gather email addresses by running scripts against SMTP.

Unlike other solutions that filter email at the desktop, server or gateway, Perimeter Manager is positioned between the Internet and your network, creating a secure wall around your email system that extends to the email entry point — the Internet. All incoming email is routed through Postini's (
http://www.postini.com/) secure data centers and scanned by the sophisticated heuristic-rules engine, which analyzes every part of an email message — from the IP address of the sender to the message content, including language/lexicon and information presented in text, HTML, graphics and images. This process is executed in a highly secure, automated environment that prevents anyone from viewing valid email. And email is not stored to disk. Perimeter Manager provides email administrators the access to review quarantined email and monitor traffic.

Important Notes: In order to use Postini Email Protection you must own your own domain for email. For example, you can use Postini if all your email addresses end with "@yourwebsite.com" where "yourwebsite" is just the name of your domain. Also, Postini must protect all addresses under a domain; you cannot use Postini to protect only certain email addresses. You cannot use Postini if you use a Hotmail, AOL, Yahoo, Google, or other non-personal email address. Also See:
