The Requirements
• Massachusetts law requires that all working people in the state carry health insurance.
• Most self-employed people will have an individual obligation to purchase health coverage.
• If you currently have coverage, check with your carrier to ensure your plan meets coverage requirements.
• A fine equaling 50% of the monthly cost of health insurance for each month you aren’t covered will be assessed.

• State insurance programs offering commercial health insurance products and low income options are available through the Health Insurance Connector, http://mass.gov/legis/.
• The REALTOR® Healthcare Program – Developed with the Health Services Administrators, MAR members may select from a vast network of health and dental care providers.
Benefits are available from: Aetna Inc., Health New England, Harvard Pilgrim HealthCare, Fallon Community Health, Neighborhood Health, Tufts, UnitedHealthCare, and Delta Dental and Assurant Employ Benefits Dental.
Plus, a prescription discount card is available for members FREE and a Flexible Spending Plan is offered..
