At a press conference yesterday at the State House, MAR President Gary Rogers joined Governor Patrick, Lt. Governor Murray and MassHousing Chairman Dirrane announce Masshousing’s new loan program that allows first-time home buyers to “monetize” the $8,000 Federal homebuyer tax credit for downpayments and closing costs.

MAR Past-President David Wluka testifies in front of Congress David Wluka a past-president of MAR and a member of NAR’s Global Climate Change Presidential Advisory Group, recently testified before the Housing and Community Opportunity Subcommittee of the House Financial Services Committee. Wluka represented NAR to express support for the approach and overarching goals behind the Green Resources for Energy Efficient Neighborhoods (GREEN) Act, H.R. 2336.
