Annie Blatz of Brewster, branch executive of Kinlin Grover GMAC Real Estate in Brewster and Yarmouth Port, has been appointed Communications/Technology focus area vice president for the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® for 2011.

As vice president for Communications/Technology, Blatz is responsible for coordinating the initiatives of the MAR Business Plan relative to the Association’s communications and technology programs.  In addition, she will act as a liaison between leadership and all MAR work groups formed for communications and/or technology programs.  She automatically becomes a member of the MAR Executive Committee and Board of Directors as a result of his appointment as a focus area vice president.

An MAR director since 2004, Blatz was the vice president of Legal Affairs/Business Development in 2010.  Prior to that, Blatz was the Cape Cod & Islands Region Vice President in 2008 & 2009.  In 2008, Blatz was a member of the Business Development Committee and has been a member and chair of the Communications Committee.  In recent years she has been a member of the Professional Standards and Business Planning Committees.  Blatz is also a member of the International Council.

On the local level, Blatz served as president of the CCIAOR in 2007, and was the recipient of the CCIAOR REALTOR® of the Year Award in 2006.
 
At the national level, Blatz has been a member of the National Association of REALTORS® Resort and Second Homes Forum since 2006 and is the committee’s 2011 chair.  She is a member of Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) Advisory Group, and a member of the 2010 NAR Leadership Academy.  In 2007, she was chair of NAR’s Large Board Sub Forum and its vice chair in 2006. 

A REALTOR® since 1984, Blatz has earned her Accredited Buyer Representative Manager (ABRM), Certified Buyer Representative (CBR), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Resort & Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS), Transnational Referral Certification (TRC), and Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) professional real estate designations.
