William Dermody of Needham, a senior vice president and manager of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Needham, has been elected Greater Boston Region vice president of the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS (MAR) for 2010.  This is the second straight term for Dermody.

As vice president for the Greater Boston region, Dermody will coordinate association objectives and activities within the Greater Boston Real Estate Board (GBREB), and meet regularly with local and regional leadership to discuss real estate industry issues of statewide importance.  He automatically becomes a member of the MAR Executive Committee and Board of Directors as a result of his election as a regional vice president.

Dermody has been a member of the MAR Board of Directors since 2007 and served as a member of the Online Education Workgroup and the Electronic Forms Committee in 2008.  In the past he has also served as a member of the Quality of Life Presidential Advisory Group, Bylaws Committee, and the Government Affairs Committee.   

At the local association level, Dermody is currently chair of the GBAR Presidential Advisory Group By-Laws Committee, has served on the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS® board, and is a past President of Council O.

Dermody has been a REALTOR® since 1995.
