The MAR Board of Directors convened on December 3rd in Springfield for the final meeting of the year.  After pausing for a moment of silence to recognize the passing of Joseph B. Doherty, Sr. of Andover, past MAR and NAR president, and in addition to an NAR update by 2010 First Vice President Moe Veissi, the following votes were approved:

• NAR Director-At-Large Election
David Wluka of Sharon elected Director-At-Large; Anne Blatz of Brewster elected First Alternate; Debbie Dwyer of Pittsfield elected Second Alternate; Dan Sullivan of Chelmsford elected Third Alternate.

•MAR Building
A budget variance of up to $25,000 was approved for expenses related to the sale of the MAR building and to conduct analysis work in evaluating potential future properties.

•RCA-MA
A $20,000 grant was approved to the Realtor® Commercial Alliance of Massachusetts (RCA-MA).

• 2010 MAR Committee Structure
The 2010 committee structure was approved as presented.

• Annual Audit
The appointment of Ercolini & Co. to perform the 2009 audit was approved.
