Central Region Vice President

Darlene Sodano, broker-owner of Sodano Real Estate in Townsend, has been elected Central Region vice president for the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) for 2010.

As vice president for the Central region, Sodano will coordinate association objectives and activities within the Worcester Regional Association of REALTORS® and North Central Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®, and also meet regularly with local and regional leadership to discuss real estate industry issues of statewide importance.  She automatically becomes a member of the MAR Executive Committee and Board of Directors as a result of her election as a regional vice president.

A member of the MAR Board of Directors, Sodano has served on the Education Committee, the Professional Standards Committee, the Government Affairs Committee, and the Forms Content Advisory Committee.  In 2007, Sodano was a member of the MAR Leadership Academy. 

On the local level, Sodano was the 2008 president of the North Central Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (NCMAR).  In 2009 she served on NCMAR Executive Committee and Board of Directors.  She has been the chair of the Government Affairs Committee, chair of the RPAC Fundraising Committee and a member of the Charitable Foundation.  In 2008, Sodano was the Region E Sales Associate of the Year and made the REALTOR® Honor Society for 11th year.  In 2007 and 2009, Sodano was named NCMAR REALTOR® of the Year.

A REALTOR® since 1998, Sodano has earned her Certified Buyers Representative (CBR), Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) professional designations and she has also earned her Loss Mitigation and e-PRO certifications.
