Decisions made at that national level can have a profound effect on each and every member. Listening to the members and carrying that message to leadership is critical and has great value in helping to shape our association and continue to increase the value of membership and our effectiveness as an organization. |

National Association of REALTORS®
Gary has been involved at the NAR level for over five years serving on several committees as member, state representative and chairman. In 2011 he sits on the NAR Board of Directors of which he also was a member in 2008 and 2009. He is a member of the Strategic Planning Committee for the second consecutive year. And serves as chairman of the Conference Program Subcommittee and Member Information Services Forum. Additionally, in 2011 he is member of the Membership Policy and Board Jurisdiction Committee for a fourth term.
Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®
Gary served as MAR President in 2009 and served on the state’s Leadership Team from 2006 through 2009. For his dedication and volunteer efforts, in 2005 Gary was named Massachusetts REALTOR® of the Year. Prior to being elected president, Gary served as president-elect in 2008 and MAR secretary-treasurer in 2006 and 2007. In 2011, he is chairman of the Grievance Committee and a member of the Building Task Force Committee for a third term. In recent years, he has been a member of the Finance, REALTOR® of the Year, Professional Standards, Milton H. Shaw Award and Investment Committees, the Leadership Development Committee, and Disaster Assistance Relief Committees. He was chairman of the Personnel Committee in 2006 and the Finance Committee in 2006 and 2007.
Greater Boston Association of REALTORS®
Gary began serving in the REALTOR® Association after only a short time in the business, almost immediately being elected president of Council K of the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS® (GBAR). Since then he has continually served his local Association. Most recently, in 2011, he is on the Board of Directors of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board (GBREB) and serves as an At-Large Director for the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS®. He is a member of the GBREB Government Affairs Committee and the GBAR Grievance, Membership Benefits, and Professional Standards Committees.
