The Loss Mitigation Certification
The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS'® one-day certification course will teach REALTORS® how to work effectively with complicated transactions involving foreclosures, short sales, properties at auction or bank-owned (also known as real estate owned or REO). Local and state REALTOR® Associations may also license the course for delivery to their own members.

 
The Value of Earning Loss Mitigation Certification

The one-day Loss Mitigation Certification course (LMC) equips REALTORS® with the tools to work on the complicated transactions involving foreclosures and REOs, short sales, and auctions. 

 
What REALTORS® Need To Know
REALTORS® learn how to deal with short sales on both the buying and selling side and how best to approach lenders.  And because not all short sales avoid foreclosure, attendees will also learn about the auction process. 
 
Taught by professionals who are practitioners in loss mitigation, this course will help REALTORS® advance into new business opportunities in the changing market.
 
REALTORS® who’ve earned Certification Gain:
  • Two continuing education credits in foreclosure (currently Mass. only)
  • Access to the nearly 800 LMC graduates’ network on LinkedIn
  • A library of materials including: a listing of national REO companies, short sale checklist, Freddie Mac BPO sample form, auction property evaluation form, sample press release and more.
