WALTHAM, Mass.- September 19, 2012– The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) announced today that Karen A. Jaworski, a state-certified real estate training instructor and a broker at ERA Cape Real Estate in Yarmouth, has been named the recipient of the 2012 Massachusetts Real Estate Educator of the Year Award. Jaworski was presented the award at MAR’s Professional Awards Reception, which was held in conjunction with the Association’s 2012 Conference and Tradeshow at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
“REALTORS® on Cape Cod and across Massachusetts are better real estate professionals today because of the teaching abilities of Karen Jaworski,” said 2012 MAR President Trisha McCarthy, broker at Keller Williams Realty in Newburyport. “Karen and the rest of the nominees have collectively made a big educational impact on the industry and we commend them for their commitment to teaching.”
Karen Jaworski is a state-certified education instructor in Massachusetts who writes, designs and teaches real estate courses for the Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS®. She has taught new REALTOR® orientation, Real Estate Steps of Success for new agents, National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics, and is the Professional Standards Administrator for the Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS®. She also teaches salesperson and broker pre-licensing courses and many Massachusetts continuing education courses at the Mid-Cape Real Estate School.
Very active at the local level, Jaworski has served as the Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS® president in 1995 and was their REALTOR® of the year in 1996. She has also served multiple times on Professional Standards, Education, REALTOR® of The Year, Development and By-Laws Committees.
At the state level, Jaworski is a long-time member of the Professional Standards Committee and has been an MAR Director.
